I got an idea: Do these "Choose starters and fight" but battle in Sword and Shield, ZA and Scarlet and Violet (so three battles). That way you will show all gimmicks ( except Z moves, sorry) and we will see Pokemon that are not in SV ( if you choose them in ZA and SW/SH). Because honestly battling in SV and using Tera is monotone, tbh.
Suggestion – you ban legendary over 600. Why not ban all pre evolutions too (or fully evolved in case of split evos/ different variations etc) . Currently you guys evolve them anyway, so it's a higher chance to get a 3 stage evo pokemon over a 2 stage or single stage. So it'll end up making single stage pokemon slightly more possible/ but also end up giving the same odds to get each pokemon.
For something like this where you’re focused on generations when Pokémon were released. I think it would have been cool if you kept with the original typings of them up until they introduced new types. Because then you would’ve truly been keeping with that Pokémon from when it released.

I absolutely get the point of limiting BST in a series like this, but I lowkey miss it being just limiting it to one or two per team rather than altogether.
To be fair, quad weakness to rocks so stealth rocks will trigger citrus on entry whitch will trigger unbudren the second pokemon hits the fireld – that is insane. Doubt it was initial idea, but it works wonders

Just wanted to gently give some feedback that for me, best 3/5 is probably too long. I think best 2/3 is the right ratio.
I think after three battles, all of the cool strats and surprises have been revealed, and it gets a little repetitive. Super excited for another league series, though! I just may start jumping to the end after a couple of battles. 😅
You should do bring your own team (just everyone make their own teams (can add the 600 cap and all that) but just all basic pokemon with base stat and ability – 4 man tournamnet

I bet it’s harder work but these series are my absolute favorite thing on YouTube, so glad you brought them back!! Anybody feel like there are too many bans? Having the final fight between 3rd and 4th string Pokemon just doesn’t sound all that exciting
Here is another idea. The signature pokemon. Players pick normally, but from 8 rounds whey have to pick a signature pokemon and sub-signature pokemon. Signtaure can be anything, but it cannot be chosen for finals of the series, if its base BST is over 525. Sub signature cannot be chosen if his base is 600.
Signature pokemon gets his HP doubled and any stat of his choice multiplied by 1.5. Sub signature gets an overall stat boost to 575 bst if he is lower or +50bst if he is higher than 575 at base.
Signature pokemon can have one illegal move of any kind, and must be shiny. Sub signature just gets bst boost.
You can ban either of them but you can never ban both. Signature cannot be chosen for finals if its base BST is over 525, or its bst total after all buffs is more then 625. So if signature is naturally frail, or will boost one of his smaller stats, it will end up around 600 bst +- and can still be chosen for finals.
Signature ALWAYS comes into battle last, meaning that you have to show all 5 of different pokemons before signature can hit the field(howether whey dont have to faint for it to make an appearance, just show). Sub signature can hit the field whenever it wants.
Players cannot bring both signature and sub signature to a fight, unless whey have only 6 pokemon left and both signatures are not banned.
Heres an idea. The same thing with new generation every turn, except now both players get the same generation. No bans. After both players reveal their starters, whey mute and chose what whey want to steal from their opponent and what whey are willing to give.
If player A wants to steal the same pokemon player B gives, then player B has an option to take any option(stats, type, ability) from the pokemon whey give to keep for themself as an option. If both players select different pokemon whey just swap places, for example player A wants to take left and give right, while player B wants to both take and give the middle. So, after the reveal player A will get players B left pokemon to take his middle space, and player B will have middle pokemon of player A in his middle space now. Howether if player A wants to take left and give right, but player B wants to give left and take middle, then player B gets to choose (ability, stats, or types) from his left options, and whatever he will chose will be available to him as a bonus option, while player A will get only two things from his new pokemon to chose from. A huge potential for the mindgames. If both players are taking and giving the same(meaning slots have to be changed twice and both will end up with their default starters) whey are free to pick, but whatever whey will end up with will have bonus: Either +100 BST, or 3 random abilities ADDED to a choice pool. After that players make fusions and battle.
You should try for an idea making each other pokemon, like to make it interesting build them up and put them fully built in a pool where you flip for them or randomize it. You’d have to think about if u make it too bad, you could get cooked + get it and too good you could give your opponent a huge advantage

absolutely loving these series!! my only thing (and this might just be me) is that I prefer unmuted battles just bc it's more fun to hear you guys talk and banter instead of just commentating but I also totally understand the need to be muted for more serious battles. either way I'm gonna keep watching since I'm really loving these videos!!
