I have no faith that anyone at BioWare could have made a new Mass Effect game worthy of the name.
Andromeda showed that the current generation of devs simply don't understand what made the original trilogy so beloved. Far better to let Mass Effect rest in peace.
Mass Effect Universe should be finished, it looks like it could of been out next year and based what has been seen the past few days i see no reason it wouldn't of sold well for BioWare and EA, maybe it wouldn't of save the studio but it could of been one last success for them to redeem they rep after Fail guard and Andromeda and that one was salvageable

I worked at a game company for 3 years managing expenses. In my experience, game devs hate thinking about money, and they hate making decisions based on money. My coworkers called me "scummy" and at one point "evil" just for trying to balance the books. No exploitation – just not giving everything away for free.
Anyone can make a slick looking trailer full of bullshots. Remember what we learned about the Perfect Dark footage?

Lets not forget Chris Avellone also went on to whistle blow just recently on Bioware's hiring practices where he openly admitted the company would review their applicants linked in likes and if the applicant liked something that didn't align with the post-modern wokism agenda that hiring producer would advocate for the applicant to not get the job. Literal and actual political discrimination that built up the woke bioware that died.

I gotta thank the progressives at BioWare because for one, they made an example out of the studio and for the fact that if it wasn’t for their stupid, gender confused decisions, we wouldn’t be getting actual, spiritual successors to those games in Osiris Reborn and Exodus. Thank you BioWare, your sacrifice & subsequent demise led to something good coming out of it in the end.

A singular trailer for a cinematic scene with no actual gameplay. It looked just like the ME3 announce trailer. Not one single moment of actual gameplay. This is what took them six years?
Remember, they did this exact same thing with Veilguard. A flashy trailer of a fight scene in a tavern, a long cutscene. This game probably wasn't going to actually be good.
I hope the tv show "inspired" from ME will be cancelled too.

honestly, the trailer seemed like it could've been a hint at something good. the problem however is well, it was bioware, so given their track record there would be next to no hope that game would actually go well unless they somehow locked in on development and actually made a good game (which….lets be real, had a snowballs chance in hell of happening)

I'd say Bioware failed not just because of woke Devs, but also a terrible management. By the sounds of it, the implemented policies (DEI, racial quotas) and expensive moral consultants just removed any ability to curve the problems going on. One reason I dont see any improvements coming, as the problems stem from the parent companies.
Endymion got a bit of hopium addiction going on with this Mass Effect Universe trailer, but I don’t think it’s going anywhere?
