Wanna come out and correct the record, twilight princess is the best 3d Zelda so far.
Twilight princess was indeed my first Zelda game, but linear doesn't mean bad, I played back the first 2 hours, and have concluded I really want to play it on something better than the wii. If you really dont like being confined, I get it, but I don't mind that too much.
Twilight Princess is not a very linear game once you get past the tutorial; however, the tutorial is so PAINFULLY LONG
I fee like most the time Doug complains about a game it's because it's not a game he wants to play lmao. Like he'll complain about Twilight princesses linearity as if it's sold as an open world. He'll complain about Mario wonder's difficulty like it wasn't designed for children. He did the same with elden ring iirc too. That vid about being "proven bad about platformers" furthers this too.
When he complains about games it's on like a basis of genre I feel like. He should really level with games more and engage them with what they're trying to do rather than what he wants them to be.
If I were to use an example. You ask Doug to rate your art piece and he'll tell you you shoulda been a doctor. Like that's not what I was trying to do Doug. I don't mind it though I feel like I gave off that vibe by writing a longer comment. He makes me think about why I like the stuff I do unwittingly
i cant speak for the actual quality of twilight princess because i havent played the game in 25 years and when i watched chuggaconroy play it i fell asleep but you do get to play as a wolf which puts it up there in the five star category alongside okami
