Choose Your Starter, Revealing Gives BUFFS!

Thank you to HelixSleep for sponsoring! You can head to to take advantage of their Fall Savings Event and get 20% off sitewide!

We’ve randomized our starters in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet but we won’t just be choosing them! Instead we’ll be able to reveal AS much as we want about the Pokemon who chose in order to get buffs, a lot like DOMAIN EXPANSION in JJK. After seven rounds of revealing juuuuuuuuust enough, we’ll build the best teams we can and have a best of three set of Pokemon battles.

  1. You should incorporate dice in this as well. Opponent bans the pokemon, you roll abilities and choose a pokemon, then you roll a d8 to see how many things you reveal. With dual types it’ll be 7 potential reveals total, so if you roll an 8 you get to choose how many you reveal.

If it’s a single type you can either have 7-8 be your choice, or roll a d6 instead.

  2. Saying the new Fire emblem is long is an understatement. I am JUST at the start of act 2 with the first character (i did act 1 with all first). I am at 130 hours!!! I love it

  3. Have your opponent pick your pokemon each round, then once you have your 7 pokemon you can mix everything anyway you'd like. BST stays as is but you can swap types, abilities, moves, etc. The pool of options are everything those pokemon have access to. This would need some level of balancing, but I think it could be interesting.

  4. video idea: items randomly generated and assigned to the starters, the op choses both their ops starter based on the random item

put bad item on a good mon for yourself
a good item on a bad mon for them
