The activists DON'T CARE. They NEVER cared if you, or I, or any old fan liked the new stuff…they KNOW new "modern audience "is fake. THATS THE POINT! WAKE THE HELL UP! It is their goal to push their agenda and if it means the games crash and burn and the studio shuts down, they are GOOD WITH THAT. These people are on a mission. I'm currently replaying the Mass Effect trilogy for the zillionth time, and as heartbreaking as it is to see BioWare collapse, that heartbreak is purely for what they built ten years ago, it has nothing to do with their last three games. They’ve been surviving on our goodwill for a decade while ignoring fan feedback and calling us bigots or not real fans whenever we pointed out what was wrong. Deep down, a small part of me was hoping the next Mass Effect might pull through, but a much bigger part was anxious they’d just ruin it further. Honestly, there’s a sense of relief in knowing I don’t have to worry about them ruining the legacy anymore
I just wanted a real mass effect sequel. Hell even a prequel. It shouldnt have died with Andromeda. Life is so unfair
No, you can't find Solas, he died in that spire in ME3 – one of the few (moving and very good) moments this game (because frankly this is where the decline became obvious, ME3 being a nearly linear mess, that treated player choices ("So you killed the Rachnii? Have some clones!") like shit and had an ending you needed to imbibe copious amounts of hard liquor and smoke a lot of pot to come up with if you are a sane person at least and not someone high on their own farts!)…well, the ZOMBIE is finally dead it seems (Bioware was like the HUSKS from Mass Effect…or the damn Protheans! Everything they once were, was replaced by EA-Greed!)

I absolutely agree, activism should be removed from games we don't wanna sit through lecture simulators to be educated. All we want are the amazing story-telling of the past. We don't need this kind of crap ruining our beloved franchises and our hobbies. I'm sure many gamers cried over this shutdown I'm sure this will leave many players feeling hollow and it's very sad for many i myself thank Mass Effect for being with me through depression, that game became my help and my moment of peace it allowed me to experience many great times with friends while also feeding my sci-fi love with more curiosity, whenever we had to fly through those Mass Relays I kept thinking how cool it would be if humanity had that kind of tech in the real world. The sound they made was cool the cutscenes were so well made and the soundtrack was on par. Many times I put the soundtrack of the trilogy just to relax while I watched reviews and discussion videos about the lore and the characters. I'm gonna miss Commander John Shepard I mean take a look at his design he is like one the last dude bro looking Chad characters in history before games were ruined with modernity slop past 2014. I will mis Jane Shepard too she was a pretty girl before girls were allowed to be pretty and feminine, she was a box cover selling girl before modernity came and ruined everything. The N7 armor was so iconic that even Dead Space had it in it, the N7 was my top favorite armor out of the box, I think I bought dead space because I wanted to wear the armor, it was so legendary to feel like part of a universe inside of another universe. I was presented to Mass Effect by my friends during another game session of the game Fuse, another EA game by Insomniac. Love me some sci-fi but I was into Dragon Age too, I think I watched videos of people that worked in those dragon age games it's refreshing seeing their passion and for them I have my uttermost respect and gratitude. I'm sure most of the normal ones that aren't into wokeness stuff or stand behind it would deliver amazing stories worlds and experiences with their God given talent but sadly wokeness has stunted our beloved games. So many of us agree this needs to stop. How much more purple and lecturing we have to see before all our beloved gaming studios are gone. And dude if I came to my friend's living room and saw him playing the veilguard during that lecturing scene I would rip the disc right out of his console, Frisby that away and buy him the Mass Effect Legendary collection and any dragon Age of his choice and he would never look back, those games were so legendary. I remember one neat slogan "For gamers by gamers" non gaming fans shouldn't be allowed to ruin our beloved games anymore. Games still are for the gamers and the fact that this game failed is the message, people are tired and every woke game that come out will flop the same way.

What a damn rant. Dude, you're supposed to know that DA and ME were different teams, and the latter came in and pushed DA team to limit the politics and do the actual development. And the Andromeda team was the Montreal's ME3 Multiplayer team, which was obviously ill-equipped for the job and was decimated after the release, not being let to finish the game. And the tone for the game was directed from above. So much emotion and whining, and so little sense.
Bioware was mostly gone, but the ME crew had some good people working there. Mary DeMarle was the narrative director. Was Deus Ex too progressive for you?
And it's a pile of BS that narrative designers were fired en masse because of their politics. Take your head out of your ass and look around. Your games will be written by AI™ now. Congrats.

I feel nothing with them closing I only started mass effect last year and have never finished a Dragon age game. To me all their games felt stiff and linear.

Well, peolple seem not understand why game studios became a focal point for ideologs and activists, and for those i present Antonio Gramsci, a comunist marxist who came up with the theory of cultural hegemony, , which explains how the ruling capitalist class maintains power in society not just through force or violence, but by shaping cultural norms, values, and beliefs so that the working class willingly gives its consent.
And for the comunist revolution be able to happen, the comunists had to infiltrate in all cultural related fields, Academics, News, Entertainement, Arts and from there shape society norms to facilitate the revolution, by perverting history, sciences and culture itself, and this has been made for decades, now we are seen the results, at first the lefitist (marxist) is just another normal worker in that field, in time they got in positions of power, and after that they only hire people with the same ideology until a point were they dominate the field, that sounds familiar.
So there you have it, this never going to change at least not right now, this will take generations to be overcomed becuase they are not going anywere judging by the students coming from the universities, so brace yourselves for more slop for years to come.

2014 was a strange year as it was the last year were true art came out without woke ideology, this is especially true with movies.
The first Mass Effect game i bought and played was Mass Effect 3. It was gay as hell. I am a heterosexual, I don't gobble the goo. I would never play a game by a company that promotes sexual perversion.

AAA companies started to make enough money, a certain group blackmailed them into pushing propaganda.
