  1. Bioware was dead since 2007 lol! I'm just glad SWTOR was bought out and won't be affected. And we'll always have their old offline epics, which is why Stop Killing Games is such as important movement (ALL games should be made available offline, with a clear divestment process commitment to their continuity, even for purely online games i.e. hand them over to the public domain so fan servers can keep them alive if you can't , IP be damned!)

  2. It's Islam, EA was sold to Saudi Arabia. Islam is going to take over EA and we're going to watch it crumble into a massive evil s*-* show even worse than what you think you know. Think current state of France but with gaming.

  3. Bioware died for me when ME3 was released. It was a rush job and a let down. The Legendary Edition with all DLCs made it "ok" but the day 1 effort left a bad taste to the point where I'll never pay full price for an EA game again.

  4. 1:10 having worked in corporate for a good few years, I'd like to point out that "transition" is HR doublespeak for "terminate employment". As in, your evaluation can be graded something like, in descending order: "Outstanding", "Excellent", "Meets Expectations", "Improve Performance", "Transition".

  5. My unpopular take on Anthem. As far as the fundamentals go, it wasn't that bad and had some cool ideas. A completely new IP/world (instead of a tired rehash of someone elses), some interesting characters and story ideas, and a basic gameplay loop that was easy to learn but hard to master. It's fatal flaw was that it was rushed into release way way way way way too early and didn't have nearly enough content or polish. I think had the devs been allowed another year of development the end product would have been far closer to what we would have expected from a Bioware release of old. But the suits at EA had other ideas.

  6. Whoever approved the woke bullshit in dragonage veilguard deserved to be fired. Nobody cares (yes I know mass effect had gay scenes but this was by choice. Not forced onto us)

  7. Another victim of the Sweet Baby and other masked creeping influence consultants into the video game industry, to deliver less games to the nonexistent modern video game audience. R.I.P. BioWare, you had great games.

  8. I open one video a content creator does and now my entire feed is flooded with 300 content creators all making videos about the same exact thing. BioWare shutting down. At least this one has a fun accent.

  9. The best thing that can happen is independent studios with solid IP building real games for real gamers. Mass Effect was the greatest trilogy of games ever. But prioritizing nonsense over games and story has been the undoing of all of these studios

  10. Dragon Age Inquisition was…. Okay. It was no where near as great as the first Dragon Age.

For me, Bioware died back in March of 2012. ME3's ending was STD level bad before there was STD. This is just putting down the shambling corpse.

  11. I wonder if they kept doing this crap and stayed afloat because they were getting reimbursed through NGOs or USAID… something like that. Because did studios used to go under just a few year agonwhen theyd massively flop like this?

  12. When you refuse to listen to your customers, when you force things they do not want onto them, this is what happens.
Good riddance, don't let the door hitcha in the az on the way out.

  13. If this keeps up we are going to end up back at the start of gaming where a small group of nobodies making a video game in their basement with next to no money to speak of and yet make something with more care for quality rather then how much money it will make or if it has the right think in it.
which is not a bad thing as it feels like gaming needs a reboot anyway.

  14. So the .0001% of modern audience gamers that Dragon Age was made for wasn't enough to keep the lights on. Pretending to be shocked that they went woke and ended up broke.

  15. I am a hardcore gamer and I am not affected by this implosion. I play on PC and I have so many games lined to play I don't know where to start. Microprose is back, flight simulators and wargames are doing great, so are 4X games, RTS, space combat and exploration, turn based strategy and a lot of gems by independent studios. Abd nowhere do I have to choose gender A or B.

  16. Crazy timing, i just finished replaying the mass effect trilogy. It still one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. The story and characters always left me wanting more. The orginal KOTOR still has my favorite story twist ever.

The Bioware i fell in love with died with Mass Effect 3. So seeing it laid to rest is a relief.

And they can never take away my best space bro, Garrus Vakarian.
