One thing about this game im not a fan of is in the campaign your kit resets every time you start over. Why? If I wreck then sure that makes sense but just losing doesn't mean my racer is gone.
PvE on the hardest difficulty has been unironically harder than PvP for me because it feels like the AI just straight up cheats and will skip portions of the track to catch up to you w/ rubberbanding, whereas even if a mfer rubberbands in MP, if they're ass at driving, they're still gonna be losing. The NPCs are also suicidal on the hardest difficulty, so they'll fucking kill themselves to make you hit the Game Over screen lmao
My first Sebulba race I fell so far behind that even I didn't see anyone again after the first lap, and they were just shit talking me the whole time 😭
