So I didn't watch the anime and got extremely confused about a herd of Tauros just appearing in the PC for seemingly no reason, but apparently Ash does catch a herd of Tauros in the anime and this makes me want to watch it for the context.

I havent watched an Alpharad video in a couple years, and man that did not disappoint! Fun from start to finish.
It has been thirty years or so, but as I recall, Ash also basically cheated in that rematch by hooking Pikachu up to something like a hydroelectric generator and having him call down the kind of lightning blasts that fracture rocks.
