Piracy is the flood the games industry has brought upon itself.
There was a brief period where piracy almost died out due to how affordable and accessible games were through online stores like Steam, GoG, etc.. Then corporate greed started trying to control this prosperity that benefited everyone, developer, publisher, customer. And slowly, but surely, they made being a legitimate customer of their games so painful that piracy was no longer just about getting games for free, it was about quality of life.

Gone back to pc last year. Got a switch 2 for oot remake and the new Metroid. I think I’m good for a good few years.
Won’t be buying digital unless there polices that allow me to won what I buy , hence why even thought switch 2 doesn’t have the graphics bla bla of ps but I own my game , it’s fun to play on handheld and I won what I have and spend a lot of money on ! So buy ps for me for now
Yes, Sony is a horrible, greedy company. Every version of xbox or Playstation has had a jailbreak of some kind available, this is nothing new. There is no world where Sony keeps putting out games and ignores the jailbreak. Sony will release an update that will require all consoles to upgrade to play games, you will have to be connected to psn to play games. The tech savvy will get around it, but the majority will not. Sony will increase the price of everything to recoup their losses. End result is everyone pays for higher games. Until Playstation fanboys can actually unite on a cause and actually boycott Sony sales legit, there is no other endgame. Playstation fans will be the death of Playstation
