Even if it turns into a multi part series I'd really suggest Subnautica. The only like really spooky part is the deep sea stuff but that's mitigated by having the vehicles. Though if you have crippling thalassaphobia it might be hard

1. Box of Broken Nails- it's a short horror game only 30 minutes in length. Best played blind.
2 Buddy Simulator 1984- a horror RPG that's a few hours long, but incredibly fun, and one of my favorite horror games ever.
