I knew from the moment I got to playing this janky unfinished pay to win mess over a year ago was a waste of my 35 dollars when they got unlisted on Steam, but wanted to give what looked like a fun game a chance. Vindication is bliss.

Respectfully, The game was dying. paul did good at MAINTAINING a already dead playerbase. not saying paul did a bad job or was unhealthy for the game, but a lot of what SDF said is right. The dungeon experience itself is sht, it is grindy, it is about min/maxing bosses + loot piles. it is literally ALL about hitting blank legendary gear pieces so i can 4x gem it. it WAS and still IS terrible game design, its dogsht for the game.
i'm sorry but anyone who thinks gem socketing is good for the game is a bot. Sorry bro, you are terrible at the game and you opinion should be completely invalid.

the hard truth is that DaD needed these changes but nobody will admit that. DaD has been struggling from serious bloat for awhile now and the only way to stop the ship from sinking is implementing radical changes that bring the game back towards the original vision…

As a fence sitter that likes Nexon games (but hates Nexon's choices RIP maplestory 2), I really hate that I supported Ironmace. I really loved Dark and Darker and I remember being kinda iffy about what was going on because it made sense or even questionable, but Ironmace being indie devs just made them into underdogs that were being robbed. I love that justice is served in the end. I'm just sad it had to turn out like this though.

it would have more players if there was a co-op or solo mode with dungeon progression, people are sick of extractions and survival genres cos the market is bloated with money grabs of the genres
