The Skin Caves are a long dormant indie-horror project created in Minecraft, they remained largely unknown until a couple weeks ago, when they randomly went back online.

Ok yap time: THIS IS NOT A MINECRAFT ARG. At least not entirely, I don’t know what it is anymore. But I want to be uber clear because the medium has become very muddled. Per usual I have created 99% of everything you just watched, and this idea was heavily inspired by In Space With Markiplier and of course Minecraft Story Mode. So I started with the idea of an ARG that was structured in a Choose Your Own Adventure way, but had a functional reason to do so.
This is 10000% spoilers for the ending, so don’t read if you haven’t finished it, but: as I wrote the story I realized how insanely cool it would be for this very video to end, and immediately branch off into the viewer’s own CYOA. The idea excited me to no end, I knew I couldn’t drop it. Even though it would certainly make the project no longer an ARG. So I designed functionally two projects, the first was an ARG that viewers could follow along with and influence. Atlas posted polls that viewers could vote on deciding where to explore, and depending on how fast viewers solved puzzles his route would also change. I even decided that I would only cover around 1/3rd of the ARG in my video, leaving most of it to be enjoyed solely by those who follow it. The first half is functionally the most “ARG” ARG I’ve ever created, but unfortunately the story was split between both halves. And the second half becomes something else entirely, I’m gonna call it a Minecraft Unfiction, but there’s probably a better term for it. Either way, this is my absolute favorite project I’ve ever made, and I hope you all enjoy exploring the Skin Caves.

Has anyone been able to get into the skin caves server? I guessed it was like the video where you could only get in at a certain time so I waited until it should be open, but I wasn't able to get in.

Spoiler if you haven't seen every ending yet. There are I believe 7 endings I'll list them off
1:Zach goes to the over world alone
2:Zach and atlas go to the over world together
3:Zach discovers sleeves is the one who made the skin caves again
4:same as ending 3 but this time with atlas
5:Atlas decides to side with the AI during his speech about love
6:Zach logs off when he voice tells him too and he can't talk to atlas
7:Zach and atlas never discover sleeves is behind this but a secret video shows I believe sleeves to be saying the sleeves we see in the other endings is likely another AI
Some of them end up happening despite you picking different choices but they each reveal alot more about the story of this Arg so I recommend checking it all out

I'm not sure but i feel like atlas lost someone he loved, perhaps that's why he's so attached to Claire, it did say it can copy voices easily. So maybe he's trying to redeem himself by saving claire because he couldn't save the person he cherished. I'm not sure if it was understandable for y'all lol

I just finish all the endings, my gaaad, it was so different, I have to analize everything bcs I got confuse, but I love this type of concepts ❤
