Friday Night Funkin’ is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn’t approve of him. It’s up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin’ is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. Hey guys! Wanted to say it’s….been a while since I’ve played undertale. So some details here and there might be wrong! But I want to do more undertale, so it might be worth playing again! Maybe I’ll finally get around to playing the switch version! I do think I should have done my due diligence, but I really do try to do my research: I just have a hard time finding what to look for. Sometimes I genuinely don’t realize it! I really love undertale and deltarune, and I always want to respect the original game and its community because I have such a strong passion for making these videos. So, I’ll try harder next time! thank you all for watching!!

I need to point out some details, not to say the video is bad, it's great, just for some people who may get confused. The vines are ABSOLUTELY Flowey, remember the Pacifist route, after you leave the elevator, it's covered by vines. And the weird note, I mean, try writing without hands.
The elevator and RG's probably weren't waiting for Muffet, but were there for you as some sort of defense, most likely. The line says "Here they are" not she.
The RG 03 and RG 04 enemies are unfinished enemies, they were never fully implemented, their death is in reference to a thing Toby Fox said about making a scenario where a monster died and their partner inhaled their dust and had a panic attack.
The Amalgamate at the door acts like it always does. Except you usually encounter it elsewhere. It's sWhy are you even alive text is a reference to one of the act options in pacifist.
The sinks saying "* It ran" both means the water ran and that the Memory Heads in them ran away, likely.
Something to notice is that when you enter the room with Lemon Bread and Endogeny the first time, there are 3 NPCs running away, they all seem to be MTT resort ones. Nothing important, but it wasn't mentioned.
Lemon Bread is the one that causes the background to say "Welcome to my special hell.", it's kinda their character trait. Endogeny is also a png in the game, just like Amalgamate (Snowdrake's mother), nothing too noteworthy, but it's cool they kept it in.
Another detail, the health of the amalgamations always heals up, including Snowdrake's mother, but only Snowdrake's mother takes damage, thus why it's the only one you can actually hurt, the others just overheal.
The curtain thingy, usually there's a wobbly stick creature, so we always want to check what's there. They changed it here to make us not know what's behind it, which is pretty awesome.
The fight against the fire person is SO good, not knowing how to attack, only to attack them psychologically is such a well played scenario. (Nice voice acting also, that was great)
The Jester fight thingy, that elevator usually shakes, I believe(?) one of them does anyway, so it's probably in reference to that.
Should point out for those that don't know that the Normal NPC or whatever it's called isn't usually in Undertale, a goner/gaster follower, whatever you call it, is. It's probably a cheap reference to this being a "weird route" or something.
"I won't tell anyone." Is probably that NPC believing that if they don't, they will be spared. I feel so bad for them.
Monster Kid. Oh boy, the scrapped laughing walls, that were reused in the 10th anniversary, that's so awesome. Also the sound, that's the level up sound.
The Amalgamate cannot be killed usually, Monster has low HP is a default placeholder text to keep the game from breaking, the fade away animation is it's spare animation, but it plays out when it dies in the real game too (it doesn't need a death animation, since it usually cannot be killed).
The Alphys cutscene. I like how it mentions her wanting to kill you, one of the neutral endings, I believe one where you kill basically everybody(??) has her talking to you via Sans' phone to say she wishes she had killed you when she had the chance. It's SUCH a good way to implement that into the main story!!!! God I love that so much, seriously.
Her daying "I don't want to die." Over and over probably references both Undyne and Flowey. Flowey said that to himself after attempting to die, Undyne doesn't want to die if you stay alive in the Genocide route. It's cool to have her do a very similar thing to both of them, since she was so involved in their lifes.
And god, her fight, I've never been scared or uncomfortable on anything Undertale related. It feels like after she stabs herself she's just gone, like you're fighting a corose, she doesn't even have eyes, she just slowly melts with the happy music, how at the end she just barely manages to speak and, AAAAAHH IT'S JUST SO GOOD. I LOVE THAT SO MUCH! The way she doesn't get to die, she's forced to stay and linger there, the way the sprite somewhat, very somewhat, looks like gaster (the hands almost have holes, the weird crack on the head). It's SOOO FRIGGING GOOD.
THAT DAMN VIDEO IS SO SO SO GOOD, IT GENUINELY FEELS LIKE WHAT UNDERTALE'S GENOCIDE ROUTE COULD BE NOWDAYS IF TOBY FOX REMADE IT AFTER DELTARUNE, IT'S SO GOOD, MAN.
