  1. Speaking of Control, and less about DLSS5, i cant wait for Control Resonant to come out. Insanely cool lore + what looks like a spiritual successor to Prototype?

  2. I think DLSS 5 hate is forced, most of the games would look cool with dlss 5, people can barely recognize if I show them a game they don't know is run at dlss 5, dlss 5 will only look bad for games which looks good for their art style the games which gives their vibe best in low graphics environment , as dlss 5 may mess it up but ofc dlss 5 is an option not mandatory the only thing that will be kinda bad is frame generation

  3. the flickering , in The Witcher , plus all games ,
did you turn off DLSS NV app or inspector , which ever one you where using ?
they probably interfere with each other , make sure to turn off DLSS in either of those apps .
maybe that'll fix some performance issues and lighting pop-up .

  4. Some of you fail to see where this is going.. eventually they will be able to create a polygon low res virtual reality world and these type of tech will make up for the rest.. this is leading to the Matrix

  5. this new technique , all it seems to be doing is sharpening up the textures and make an SDR game … out of a HDR game , by changing the lighting / ambient occlusion .
i don't see much more happening then that .
you loose a staggering amount of light , brightness , to gain a darker contrast and make a game seem more real .
people will have to bring up the brightness themselves , with monitor settings or control panel settings , if you want a better experience .
i like my games shiny and bright , not this dark ambient occlusion trick …
this version 5 is still not up to par with the money we pay for access to the tech , not by a long shot .
bad lighting in some places , added made-up textures that don't fit the game or characters , lines in their faces that aren't there in the original , it's pretty bad for now …
and you need 2x of the best gpu's to run it properly , even then they're going to struggle through it , i'm betting …
the extra programs you need , just to run it , is ridiculous , i don't want re-shade or nvidia app on my system ,
so i'm never going to be able to enjoy the tech , if they don't implement it in NV inspector …

  6. Hot Take Warning…..

It was leaked on purpose, so we burn all our GPU'S and buy another/upgrade.
    It looks fantastic for sure……
But in its current form it basically triples your wattage and halves your fps.

    Sing with me…..
🎶 I is gonna ruin my silicon, Nvidia are rubbin' their greedy mits mon 🎶

  7. If you actually know what the DLSS 5 sliders do you can get the skin perfect. The skin and environment can be tuned separately. Also, is you're having performance issues it's because you aren't routing DLSS 5 correctly.

  8. Seeing DLSS 5 reminds me of the scene from the prestige when Huge Jackman did the transporting man and it was so real that the guy said to him “ it’s not often I see real magic” and then he’s like are you interested in helping us? And he’s like Yes. But you'll have to dress it up a little. Disguise it. Give them a reason to doubt it..

it’s not perfect, but it’s the brink of taking an ordinary game and transforming it in seconds to something that would take years

  9. In my opinion DLSS 5 looks really good in old games. The only limit is the low polygon assets and less assets or details in those games. Otherwise it's really great. The performance should be optimised though.

  10. Any one else notice the weird Ghosting effect on lighting and shadows? especially those around a moving character?
Lighting seems to load in and out, and randomly changes.
    It feels weird.

Also games like Last of Us more so than the others has this really noticeable Ghosting effect.
