Also thresh ult isn't good because so much of his power budget is in the rest of his kit. Lantern is broken, and his hook+flay are really good at pick potential AND peel potential. Naut/Leona are worse at peel, champs like Braum suck at engage. Thresh fits a beautiful middle ground as a catch-all tank support

Poppy is boring to play in lane. She belongs in the Jungle and Support role where she can roam around and look for skirmishes without the responsibility of holding/pushing a lane. But also, you can go a couple tank items then heavy on bruiser items to make her much more fun to play.
Alois spends his whole time on Ornn hard diving instead of peeling and then wonders why his teammates aren't carrying him 😢
Poppy is just Ornn with slightly lower agency. You just short trade, scale, and then teamfight. I do think you would have more fun on tanks if you didn't build the same boring tank items every time. Tanks have very flexible itemization and you keep spamming Unending first item on every champ.
